Youth Pitching Training
By Jeff Moree for YouthPitching.com
Youth pitchers can benefit tremendously if they seek proper pitching training. Young pitchers are very flexible when it comes to changing their mechanics because they have not been pitching long enough to develop too many bad habits.
When looking for youth pitching training, try to find a qualified pitching instructor who knows how to coach youth pitchers. An advanced pitching coach might not be the best person to seek the help of. Coaches who specialize with younger pitchers know how to get information across to the young players without confusing them. They also know certain drills that are easy for youth pitchers to understand.
If you decide to seek the help of a pitching coach, be sure to do your research. Ask other coaches, parents, and players who they have had success with. When you find a coach, discuss what you want to get out of the lessons. Starting off the lessons with some goals in mind is a great way to see some improvement right away.
When you find a coach, make sure that they are not completely changing your pitcher's mechanics completely. A good coach should be able to make minor changes to a pitcher's current mechanics and produce a desired end result.
