    Proper care of pitching arms is vital to the health and success of any pitcher.

    However, it's especially important for youth league pitchers, as well as little league pitchers whose bodies are still growing, learning good techniques and developing sound mechanics.

    Here are come pitching arm care tips to help you of the players you coach at the youth level protect their pitching arm.

    Make sure that you are adequately warmed up (10 - 15 minutes) before you throw hard.

    Make sure that you throw with the proper mechanics to decrease the chance of injury to your arm.

    Make sure you have on a sweat shirt on cold and/or rainy days to keep your arm warm.

    By following these few simple steps, you'll ensure a safe and fun experience on the pitcher's mound.
